澳洲總理茱莉亞．吉拉德表示不曾看上週三播出這齣具爭議性的電視喜劇。該劇影射她與男友在總理辦公室地上有親密行徑。

澳洲廣播公司（ABC）製作的這齣諷刺喜劇「家有總理茱莉亞」，已被叮得滿頭包，有些國會議員甚至要求重審政府撥給這個國營廣播公司的補助款。

該劇毫不留情地揶揄茱莉亞曾為美髮師的伴侶提姆‧馬迪生，而總理本尊則表示，她有比坐在電視機前還更重要的事要做。

雖然她承認看過該影集的第一集，但她說：「我並不打算觀賞今晚播出的這集。我還有很多事要做。」

她說：「第一集的劇情蠻好笑的，但是說真的，我有更多比坐著無所事事只看ABC電視還重要的事要做。」

上週三所播出的內容，呈現劇中吉拉德以及馬迪生在做完愛做的事後，將澳洲國旗當成被子覆蓋在身上。吉拉德是由與她樣貌神似的阿曼達‧畢夏普所飾演。

澳洲財政部長偉恩‧史旺稱該劇「低俗」。

國家黨議員約翰‧佛瑞斯特則抨擊該橋段令人反感。

他說：「披著澳洲國旗，在總理辦公室炒飯，是我最不能忍受的。」他說：「我覺得噁心與被冒犯，我們應該挺身而出。」

Gillard not watching ‘sex scene’ TV comedy

Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard said she would not watch a controversial TV comedy last Wednesday that portrays her in a compromising position with her boyfriend on the floor of her office.

The third episode of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s (ABC) satirical “At Home with Julia” has sparked widespread condemnation with some MPs calling for a rethink of the state broadcaster’s funding.

The show mercilessly makes fun of Gillard’s partner Tim Mathieson, a former hairdresser, and the prime minister said she had better things to do than sit in front of the TV.

“I’m not intending to watch tonight’s episode. I’ve got more to do,” she said, although she admitted viewing the first episode.

“Aspects of that first episode were funny but, seriously, I’ve got more to do than sit around watching ABC TV.”

Last Wednesday’s installment shows Gillard, played by lookalike Amanda Bishop, and Mathieson draped in the Australian flag, using it as a sheet after having sex.

Treasurer Wayne Swan called the show “low rent.”

Nationals MP John Forrest called the segment appalling.

“Having sex in the prime minister’s office under the Australian flag is the last straw for me,” he said. “It is sick, I’m offended and we should take a stand.”
